Aureus was originally founded as Addiction Recovery Professionals (ARP) in 2002 to improve recovery rates from addiction to alcohol and drugs.

This includes intervention, assessment, treatment selection, treatment communication, and post-treatment planning and monitoring.  We are not a treatment center, instead, we help families find quality treatment centers for their loved ones,

Our goals in founding ARP were threefold:

After eight years of experience, we added a fourth goal: to educate families about our New Recovery Model.

In our article, Recommendations for Recovery, Systems Changes and Governance Practices, we discuss how we apply the FAA/Airline and Medical Board programs for pilots and physicians to other population groups.

Many people ask why treatment is often not successful.  Our New Model and Systems discussions explain how to improve treatment outcomes.

We changed our name from ARP to Aureus in response to requests from clients and their advisors for a more anonymous name – one that did not have the word “addiction” in the title.
